Andrew Williams, Academic Director, IFSA-Butler London Office
Andrew has been with IFSA-Butler since its inception and is resident director of IFSA-Butler programs in England. His B.A. (Hons) is in French and international relations, a degree that included a study abroad year in France at the University of Perpignan. Andrew also holds an M.A. in European languages and literatures from Queen Mary, University of London. He currently is enrolled in a Ph.D. program in the English department at Birkbeck, University of London, where he is studying the role of gender and masculinity in the works of W. Somerset Maugham.

Andrew was heavily involved in the University of Minnesota Curriculum Integration Project and presented at the university's conference in Minneapolis. He also has presented at the BUTEX (British Universities Transatlantic Exchange Programmes) conference in Swansea and regularly attends the annual BUTEX conference. Andrew is a member of the American Association of Study Abroad Programmes (AASAP).

As resident director, one of Andrew's main responsibilities is an understanding of the academic structure of IFSA-Butler's affiliated universities in England. He therefore serves as the main academic liaison between IFSA-Butler students and their host universities and helps ensure that students are enrolling in an appropriate courses while abroad. Andrew is always available to assist IFSA-Butler students with academic queries and problems, particularly in the early weeks of their time abroad as they work to understand a different academic system.
