IFSA-Butler Featured in NAFSA Booklet for Parents

IFSA-Butler's First Generation College Student program is featured on NAFSA's website in a special section with resources for supporting diversity in education abroad. Our scholarship program appears in NAFSA's "For Families" booklet, in a bibliography of selected readings as resources for first generation college students and under Resources for Students with Limited Financial Means.

The First Generation College Student program was created in 2012 and is designed to provide scholarships and additional support for first generation college students who are studying abroad. In less than two years, the scholarship has helped support the study abroad dreams of nearly 20 first generation college students from around the country.

Yucatan as Safe as Wyoming, Montana, Oregon and Maine

These statistics and other details about the beauty and tranquility of the Yucatán can be found on BanderasNews.com. IFSA-Butler also has a special page with links to articles about the state of Yucatán and the city of Mérida, where our program is based.
