NEW! Program in Israel at Hebrew University of Jerusalem PDF Print E-mail

IFSA-Butler is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. We will begin sending students on this program in fall 2012.

Our program will be based at the university's Rothberg International School, where classes are taught in English. However, participants who are proficient in Hebrew will be able to enroll in classes at the university. Students will be able to study a wide range of subjects, including humanities, social sciences, sciences, fine arts and more. Both an intensive Hebrew and an intensive Arabic language option, with instruction from beginning to advanced levels, also are available.

The program includes:

  • Tuition at Rothberg International School or Hebrew University
  • Shared housing in the university's modern student village
  • A month-long intensive Hebrew course
  • Excursions and activities
  • Health insurance
  • The assistance of an on-site staff member

Participants will also benefit from IFSA-Butler's renowned student support and expertise in health and safety. All IFSA-Butler programs include natural disaster, medical and political evacuation insurance.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, recently recognized as 57th of the top 100 world universities by the annual Shanghai Jiao Tong survey, is one of the most prestigious universities in the Middle East. Founded by Martin Buber, Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud, the university was the first in Israel and is a renowned center for the study of Jewish culture, history and politics.
