|Erika Ryser Garcia Named New Director of Latin American Programs|
IFSA-Butler is delighted to announce that Erika Ryser García will be joining us as our new Director of Latin American Programs, effective July 12. In her role as Director of Latin American Programs, Erika will lead IFSA-Butler's resident directors for programs in Latin America. In addition, she will oversee academic affairs practices, policies and procedures for all programs in Latin America, as well as serve as the main liaison to primary advisory groups such as IFSA-Butler's Latin America Advisory Council.
Prior to joining IFSA-Butler, Erika served as the Associate Director of Study Abroad at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before becoming the Director of Education Abroad Programs in Illinois' College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences in 2010. She brings more than a decade of international higher education experience to IFSA-Butler.
Erika received a Master of Education in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy with a concentration in international education from Harvard University in 2001. She holds a Bachelor of Art degree in history, Spanish and Latin American studies from Macalester College.
