What the Coastal and Marine Sciences and Natural Resource Management program has to offer
• Opportunity for intensive study in marine science and management at Australia's National Marine Science Centre (NMSC), in conjunction with Southern Cross University
• A unique location adjacent to Solitary Island Marine Park, home to fish, turtles, coral, dolphins, sharks and whales
• Academic programs that take advantage of the natural setting
• A smaller academic setting for a more individual and authentic experience
• Modern facilities and innovative programs with opportunities for field trips
• A variety of sporting, cultural and special interest clubs on Coffs Harbour campus

Housing
• Housing is on Coffs Harbour campus with local students in apartment-style residences with single study-bedrooms
• Students purchase or prepare their own meals
• Residences are a 15-minute drive from NMSC; NMSC will provide transportation to and from campus during lecture weeks

Academics
• Students take a required set of four courses per semester that focus exclusively on marine and coastal science and management
• Courses are divided into three-week blocks of reading preparation, lectures, lab work and field trips, and time to complete assignments
• The program melds theory with practice, emphasizing field studies and fundamental scientific techniques
• Students must have completed two years of a Bachelor of Science degree program and a course in statistics
