Ecuador is a one-of-a-kind country, so it's only fitting that it plays host to a one-of-a-kind study abroad program. Balancing a colonial history with modern sophistication and charm, Ecuador is the ideal destination for a student who wants study abroad to have a meaningful and lasting impact on a host community.
Empowering Locally, Educating Globally
Rehearsing Change is a study abroad program that is part of a greater plan for community development, empowering local communities while simultaneously educating global leaders. We are the initiators of the Fair Trade Study Abroad movement and practice decolonial education. Local counterparts and international students learn together, studying development, sustainability, identity and globalization, all in the context of the reality of our local community. We apply learned knowledge and tools through the Applied Arts (or Arts for Social Change), Engaged Learning/Scholarship and Participatory Action Research.
