Study abroad advisors often ask about visiting IFSA-Butler's resident offices. If you are considering a visit to an IFSA-Butler office abroad, please contact Amy Bartnick Blume, director for external relations, and keep in mind the guidelines below.

  1. In order to organize a successful visit to our offices, we request eight weeks advance notice. Our offices abroad look forward to meeting you, but to serve our students we may not be available for visitors during the following peak orientation/registration/examination times:

    Argentina:
    February to March, late July to August, December, January
    Australia:
    February, July, December
    Chile:
    February, March, late July to August, December
    Costa Rica:
    January, August, December
    England: September and January
    Ireland (Northern and Republic):
    Late August to early October, early January to early February, late June
    Mexico:
    August, December, January
    New Zealand:
    February to mid-March, June to July, mid-December to mid-January
    Scotland:
    September and January to mid-February
    Spain:
    September and January

  2. We request that a visit to our office abroad be incorporated into your schedule so we can provide background on our operations and a general briefing on the universities you intend to visit.

  3. Our offices abroad can also provide suggestions regarding hotels and transportation, but the actual reservations and costs are your responsibility. We will provide the appropriate university contacts and assist in scheduling any desired meetings.
