Parent Publications and Mailings

IFSA-Butler distributes special mailings and publications to keep parents informed about our program details and all the preparations necessary for a great study abroad experience. Below is a general summary and timeline of our parent materials.

Note: IFSA-Butler does not send any parent information, including program bills, in cases where students have requested in writing that we not send information to their parents.

Parent Packet
When a student has been accepted to one of our programs, IFSA-Butler sends a parent packet containing Preparing to Study Abroad and Financing Study Abroad.

IFSA-Butler believes that study abroad should be within the financial reach of every student, so we have created this section to help parents understand the options for financing a study abroad program.

The cost of study abroad depends on several factors, including the price of host university tuition, inflation rates abroad and the value of the U.S. dollar. IFSA-Butler’s program fees cover a wide variety of services, and we strive to make payments easy by allowing parents and students to participate in a monthly payment program.
