IFSA-Butler Programs Overview Print E-mail
IFSA-Butler provides high quality study abroad opportunities, plus academic and personal support services, for American and Canadian college students who want to earn credit for international study.

IFSA-Butler students apply to study abroad for a semester, year or summer at any one of nearly 90 universities in 12 countries. A Butler University transcript, issued to each student after the semester, year or summer abroad, outlines the full list of courses, grades and U.S. transfer credits from the period of study abroad. This transcript allows students to incorporate their study abroad experience into their bachelor’s degree program at their home university. Any student pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year U.S. or Canadian college or university may apply to our programs. Click here to learn more about our application process.

Our philosophy of integrated study abroad means that students will fully enroll in their chosen university abroad, and in most cases they will live in housing owned and operated by the university abroad. Thus IFSA-Butler students have the unique opportunity to fully immerse themselves into the academics and culture of their host country.

In addition to processing the paperwork, payments and preparations to study at a university abroad, IFSA-Butler is assists our students from the time they apply to study abroad until after their return. Staff in our Indianapolis office and around the world are committed to providing support to our students and preparing them for the academic and cultural changes that await.

IFSA-Butler operates study abroad programs in Argentina, Australia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, England, Ireland Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Scotland, Spain and Wales.
