IFSA-Butler Programs Overview

The Institute for Study Abroad, Butler University (IFSA-Butler) provides study abroad opportunities, plus academic and personal support services, for American and Canadian college students who want to earn credit for international study.

With IFSA-Butler, you can apply to study abroad for a semester, year or summer at any one of more than 90 universities in 15 countries. A Butler University transcript, issued to each student after the experience abroad, outlines the full list of courses, grades and U.S. transfer credits from the period of study abroad.

This transcript allows you to incorporate your study abroad experience into a bachelor’s degree program at your home university. Any student studying for a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year U.S. or Canadian college or university may apply to our programs.
