Paula Mans Bryn Mawr College Argentine Universities Program Paula was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to do research in Brazil. Alexis Berko Wesleyan University SOAS, University of London Alexis received the Jaina Undergraduate Essay Award from SOAS. The Centre of Jaina Studies at SOAS awards just one undergraduate essay award each year. Alexis will receive her award next March.
Christina Grammenos Barnard College Mansfield College, Oxford University Christina was awarded the Mansfield Visiting Student Prize for Michaelmas Term 2007 for her outstanding academic performance.
Dustin Lovell University of Redlands St. Catherine's College, Oxford University Dustin played the part of Sir Toby Belch in a production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare.
New Zealand
Stodden Clow Saint Michael’s College Massey University Wellington Stodden played a miner on a secret planet for the filming of the new James Cameron film, Avatar. He spent 16 hours on the set in suburban Wellington and hung out with the actors starring in the film.
Eden Ferry University of Puget Sound University of Otago Eden competed in New Zealand's Uni Snow Games, which were held August 23-29. Eden won second place in both the women's snowboard halfpipe and the women's snowboard slopestyle events. To read more about the games, click here.

Anne Lewis Mount Holyoke College University of Otago Anne performed with the university’s dance lab at the Dunedin Fringe arts festival. The group performed a show called Crossing Borders, a mix of contemporary, African-derived, and improvisation dance and music.
Alison Recknagel Presbyterian College University of Otago Alison played percussion with the City of Dunedin Pipe Band. The band opened for the Otago Highlanders’ rugby team’s home games and played at the ANZAC Day dawn service.
Scotland
Rachael DeCruz Colby College University of Edinburgh Rachael was awarded a part of the Simon Gray Prize from the University of Edinburgh.
