Diversity is a concern for many students, parents and study abroad advisors. IFSA-Butler understands that studying in a different culture can heighten anxiety about race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and other factors that form a student’s identity. This section outlines IFSA-Butler’s commitment to diversity and helps students understand what to expect while studying abroad. Please contact IFSA-Butler if you have further concerns about diversity issues in study abroad. The goal of DiversityAbroad.com and the DAI is to increase the number of under-represented students, particularly minority and low income students, who pursue education abroad programs. In conjunction with the DAI, DiversityAbroad.com provides scholarships to students going abroad and participates in campus outreach to make students, parents and faculty more aware of the benefits of education abroad. |
