Scholarships: Putting Study Abroad Within Your Reach
Work-to-Study Grant

diversityawardlogoDo you have a special skill set? Super social media savvy? A great writer or researcher? We can help you build your resume through our new Work-to-Study Grant.

The Work-to-Study Grant is worth between $300-$1,000, depending on the scope and involvement of the project completed, and is available to all students, with special consideration to those already on federal work study at their home campus. Grant money will be distributed to the student via PayPal or direct deposit throughout the term abroad as projects are completed.

Students must apply for open Work-to-Study slots and will be chosen by IFSA-Butler based on availability and skill set. Application requirements and details about upcoming projects can be found in the PDF link below.

Work-to-Study positions are determined by current and frequently changing project needs at IFSA-Butler, but could include:

  • Marketing and communications
  • Developing content for the diversity and inclusion resource Unpacked: A Study Abroad Guide for Students Like Me
  • Graphic design
  • Photography
  • Computer support
  • Website development
  • Research
  • Creative writing
  • Health and safety support

 Application deadline is:

  • April 1 for fall, semester 2, academic year
  • November 1 for spring, semester 1
