Arrival and orientation

• 2- to 4-day on-site orientation for semester/year students: Includes transportation, accommodation, activities and most meals
• Introduction to Irish culture
• Discussion of academic differences and expectations
• IFSA-Butler staff walk students through everything from how to succeed academically to integrating socially in the host university
  
• Welcome meal
• Transportation to host university accommodation at conclusion of orientation

Excursions

• 4-day Northern Ireland weekend for Republic of Ireland students: Includes day tour to Derry city/Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge, Antrim coastline and Giants Causeway
• 3-day Dublin weekend for Northern Ireland students: Includes theatre performance, city tour and time to explore Dublin

Other activities

• Group dinners with IFSA-Butler staff in host cities
• Program t-shirt
• Farewell meal
