Salesforce Developer

The Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA) seeks a collaborative, innovative professional to join our IT team as Salesforce Developer. This position provides an exciting opportunity to build, deploy and maintain business-critical, multi-user solutions.

The Salesforce Developer will work with many different systems in a variety of applications supporting mission critical IFSA projects.  This position will support development and improvement initiatives with the development environment, as well as monitoring, reporting, and resolving issues with IFSA’s application development and infrastructure.  The Salesforce Developer must have the ability to work independently, and must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations, having a keen attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities with both operational and technical perspectives.

The Salesforce Developer can be a remotely-based/work-from-home position in the USA, reporting to the Director of Information Technology in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Requirements, Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field desired but not required
  • 2-5 years of development experience
  • Legal right to work in the USA
  • Required Experience
    • Understanding of APEX
    • Familiarly with APEX triggers
    • Understanding of Visualforce
    • Base understanding of JAVA script
    • Certification in Salesforce (Dev (Platform or App builder))
    • 1-2 years of experience in Salesforce
    • Familiar with writing a unit test
    • Familiar with debugging
    • SCRUM/Agile development
    • Working on business-critical software development projects
  • Desired Experience
    • Marketing Cloud
    • Pardot
    • Community Cloud
    • Conga
    • Angular
    • Force.com platform

Physical & Work Environment

  • Usual office working conditions
  • Responsibilities occasionally require working emergency evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
  • Required to sit for long periods of time.
