About UAL - Semester Program

Europe's largest university for art, design, fashion, and communications is a great choice for any aspiring artist. At Central Saint Martins choose focus from Fashion or Graphic Design and numerous electives to establish your artistic vision at UAL. You'll work closely with faculty who are active artists, designers and communications professionals, in the studio or in classes.

To view available courses at University of the Arts, visit the university's online course catalog. Under  "See the courses available on each programme," select Semester Study Abroad. Click on the subject of your choice to see the course options and the college where each is offered.

The Semester option is for students with a strong interest in art, design, or fashion who have taken a number of classes in these areas. Students will be studying alongside other overseas students with opportunities to collaborate with local students. Semester option students take a few mandatory modules and then choose a few electives. The Semester option is available in the fall and spring, and offers 14-week terms.

Students typically earn 12 - 16 credits per semester, depending on the course and modules chosen.

Course Restrictions
The UAL Semester program is designed for U.S. College juniors who have a background in fashion. UAL may recommend an integrated program for students with less experience. 
Transcripts
After you return to the U.S., IFSA will send a Butler University transcript to your home university and to your permanent address. The transcript reflects the courses taken, credits attempted, and grades earned during your term abroad. This service is included in your study abroad program at no additional cost
