IFSA requires students to enroll in a full course load abroad. A full load at Sussex is 120 Sussex credits for the year.
15 credits= 4 U.S. semester credit hours
30 credits= 8 U.S. semester credit hours

Please review all your syllabi and course materials when you are registering for classes (both pre-arrival and on-site). Certain classes may have a one-off lab or field trip fee that is disclosed in the syllabus or first meeting of class. You will be responsible for these fees, whether they are billed and paid by IFSA or billed to you.
Course Restrictions
Fourth-year (Level 7 and higher) are Masters Level and are part of a postgraduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.). You are not eligible to take these courses as an undergraduate study abroad student.
After you return to the U.S., IFSA will send an official Butler University transcript to your home university with your coursework converted to the U.S. credit system. You will also have access to an unofficial transcript in your IFSA Student Portal. The transcript reflects courses taken, credits attempted, and grades earned during your term abroad. This service is included in your study abroad program at no additional cost

All university housing at the University of Sussex is self-catering. No meals will be provided. However, you will have access to shared kitchen facilities where you may prepare your own meals. These facilities are equipped with a stove and refrigerator, but you must provide your own cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.

Program Fees

Total Program Fee
Students pay a $500 non-refundable program deposit upon confirmation of attendance. The deposit is applied to the total program fee.
Supplemental Fees
Housing is based on Park Village. Students incur a supplemental fee if placed in Brighthelm House ($2475); Stanmer Court Flats and Lewes Court Flats ($3175); and Northfield Flats ($3550).
