I have seen and done more than I could imagine, thanks to my international experiences and willingness to embrace new cultures and challenging the way I understood the world. I’m inspired to help students discover new pathways for themselves through IFSA’s programming.
Prior to IFSA
In my 10+ years in the field, I have experienced many facets of international programming, from participant to administrator to trip leader! Past experience includes roles with the Institute of International Education, the Alliance for Global Education, Penn Abroad at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Asia Institute. Through work and collaboration with international organizations like STAMP, the Swedish Program, and the JET Program, I’m able to support international exchange in new and exciting ways that support my professional growth as an international educator.
I earned an MBA with a Global Perspective from Arcadia University and a BA in Communications from Penn State. I participated in two, short-term international business courses abroad, one in France and the other in China, with my MBA co-hort.
I was 21 when I travelled abroad for the first time, to visit my best friend who was spending a semester in Montpellier. I left France 10 days later feeling so inspired that I backpacked Europe after graduation, spent a summer working in Paros, Greece, and taught English in Yamanashi, Japan for two years before officially starting my career in international education in 2008. I’ve traveled to 25+ countries for work or fun and plan on adding many more to that list!

My home has been renovated from an old bank built in 1903, formerly known as the Banca D’Italia. It played an important role in Philly’s history, catering to Italian immigrants settling in South Philadelphia. And yes, the vault is still here!
