Nikki graduated with a bachelor's in Journalism and a master's in Cultural and Social Anthropology with a focus on Gender, Ecology and Society.
Nikki studied abroad in Mexico, and upon graduating moved to Mexico for a year to work alongside two anthropologist preserving indigenous cultures in Oaxaca through the creation of community museums. This experienced drove Nikki to receiving her Masters in Cultural and Social Anthropology and understanding the importance of participatory action research and community engagement.

Nikki runs a small decorative plant business out of her home and enjoys doing handstands.
